Brian Cropp, Senior Director of Human Resources

 
Brian Cropp is the Senior Director of Human Resources for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove. The organization currently has 5 club sites, 49 ASES school sites, 2 High School ASSETS programs, a licensed preschool, Truancy Reduction Center, Juvenile Justice Center, 12 Family Literacy sites and a Family PLUS Center.  These various programs are supported by a staff of more than 450 dedicated and enthusiastic professionals, and serve 5,000 youth each day.


Brian was born and raised in Glendora, CA.  After graduating high school, he began working as a manager at a local restaurant while attending college full-time.  During his second year of college, Brian accepted an opportunity to work in San Diego, CA as a Recruiting Assistant for a company which provided children’s programs for large Associations, Organizations, Companies and Major League Sports Teams.  Shortly after being hired, Brian took on the Director of Recruiting roll.  For three years, he dedicated his work to recruiting and training child care professionals.   Brian’s favorite part of his job was when he traveled and managed children’s programs.  He managed successful programs ranging in size from 50 to 500 kids. 

 

In May of 2007, Brian joined the Boys & Girls Club movement.  He started out as a Site Coordinator at one of the ASES school sites.  After opening and growing a successful program, Brian took on the responsibility of hiring and training for the organization.  Over the last year, Brian and his team have helped grow the organization from 200 employees to over 450 employees.  In addition, he and his team have developed the Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove Human Resources department.  They continue to strive to find better ways to recruit, train and retain employees for the movement.  

 

Brian, his wife and his 20 month-old daughter currently reside in Glendora, CA.  They plan to move to Garden Grove, CA within the next year.  Brian enjoys playing sports and facilitates an organizational Basketball night once a week at a Club facility.
