Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) is a national organization whose mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. The first Club was founded in 1860 and the national organization was formed in 1906. BGCA provides key resources to enhance Clubs’ ability to serve youth. Together, BGCA and local Clubs form the Boys & Girls Club Movement.

The Board of Education of the Garden Grove Unified School District is committed to providing an educational program focusing on student achievement, high standards, and opportunities for all students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to live a productive life.  To meet this commitment, Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove proudly collaborates with Garden Grove Unified School District at fifty-three additional school sites providing School Age enrichment programs.  


The mission of the Garden Grove Police Department, through a Community Partnership, is to improve the quality of life in the city and provide a sense of safety and security to the community members.  Through the partnership, Family & Youth Outreach Program and the Truancy Reduction Center have become national models of deference programs.


The Children & Families Commission of Orange County provides leadership, funding and support for programs that achieve the vision that all children are healthy and ready to succeed when they enter school.  The Children and Families Commission of Orange County continues to allocate millions of dollars to fund an ever-expanding range of programs including L.E.A.N. Start, Readiness on the Road, and ARCHES Program to ensure every child in Orange County grows up great.


Healthy Smiles For Kids of Orange County is a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the oral health of children in Orange County through collaborations directed at prevention, education, treatment and advocacy.  Their goal is through collaborations and partnerships, children of our community will enter school ready to learn and pain free. Healthy Smiles For Kids of Orange County seeks to improve the oral health of our children.


Since opening its doors in 1964, CHOC Children's has provided the highest quality medical care to children. Their regional health system includes a state-of-the-art 238 bed main hospital facility in the City of Orange, a hospital-within-a-hospital in Mission Viejo, and five community clinics which includes a facility at the Children’s Health & Dental Center in Garden Grove. The Health Center is home to many valuable health and family services for children with or without insurance.

Orange County United Way focuses on bottom line results - changing lives and strengthening communities. By providing strong leadership, accountability and measurable results, they are able to positively change the quality of people’s lives, while striving to keep overhead at, or below, 20%.  Currently United Way supports our PowerHour Academic and Homework assistance program and our counseling programs for children and families.


Garden Grove is a vibrantly progressive and growing city. The motto, "The City of Youth and Ambition," accurately reflects this culturally diverse community of over 172,000 people. 


The mission of the Southern California College of Optometry is to provide the highest quality optometric education through excellence in teaching, patient care, research, public service and institutional management. Through a unique partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of a Garden Grove and The Southern California College of Optometry, we have collaborated to provide pediatric vision care services. The comprehensive exams check eye sight, the need for glasses, eye coordination, vision development, and eye health. Children who are prescribed glasses will be outfitted on-site.

In partnership with local school districts and the global learning community, we will research and apply innovative 21st century practices; leverage resources; develop strategic alliances; inspire powerful leadership; and provide exemplary customized services to districts, communities and our students in all County Office-operated programs.

acvista.png AmeriCorps VISTA is the national service program designed specifically to fight poverty. Founded as Volunteers in Service to America in 1965 and incorporated into the AmeriCorps network of programs in 1993, VISTA has been on the front lines in the fight against poverty in America for more than 40 years.  VISTA members commit to serve full-time for a year at a nonprofit organization or local government agency, working to fight illiteracy, improve health services, create businesses, strengthen community groups, and much more. 

Pacific Symphony, led by Music Director Carl St.Clair, is the largest orchestra formed in the United States in the last 40 years, presenting more than 100 concerts a year, plus a rich array of educational and community programs. Heartstrings is a major community-wide program providing free access to concerts, hands-on enrichment activities and transportation for a range of underserved local residents in partnership with Orange County agencies. The Heartstrings program was inspired by St.Clair’s belief that “Music is a birthright that must be shared equally by all.”

Education is an important source of power and advancement for young people, and it helps strengthen our communities. For many years Southern California Edison has focused on programs that help minority, low-income, and underrepresented students pursue studies in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Recognizing the clear connection between the arts and development of critical-thinking skills, they have also recently added arts education as an additional focus area.
Connect a Million Minds is Time Warner Cable's $100 million community commitment to connect youth to ideas, people and opportunities that will inspire them to become the problem solvers of tomorrow.  Time Warner Cable's Connect a Million Minds introduces youth to opportunities and resources that inspire them to develop the important science, technology, engineering and math skills they need to solve the economic, environmental and community challenges of the future.
